Natura Interface Smart Ring: $99 AI Agent on Your Finger

TTTop Tech Today

Natura's Interface smart ring puts ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI agents on your finger for $99. Press a button, speak, and let an AI agent handle the task — no phone needed.

What Is the Natura Interface Smart Ring?

On October 8, 2026, AI and hardware startup Natura unveiled Interface, a $99 smart ring built for what founder Carlo Edoardo Ferraris calls "the agentic era" — a future where AI agents do your digital work for you. Instead of pulling out your phone, you press a button on the ring, speak your request, and an AI agent takes care of the rest.

Ferraris previously founded the consumer tech accessories company Rolling Square, and Natura's first product was HumanPods, a pair of AI-enabled earbuds. The team decided a ring — something you can wear while sleeping or showering — was a better always-on form factor for voice-powered AI.

How the Natura Interface Smart Ring Works

The interaction is deliberately simple: press, speak, release. The ring is worn on the index finger with a button under the thumb. Hold it down, say what you want, and let go to send the request to your AI agent. The microphone is not always listening — it only activates when you deliberately press the button, which should ease privacy concerns.

The ring pairs with your phone and routes requests through NatureOS, Natura's software layer. Answers come back through connected earbuds, an iPhone Live Activity, or the NatureOS companion app. It can also control your devices — Ferraris says he believes most things people do on computers today, from filling out forms to finding files and drafting presentations, will eventually be handled through AI agents and simple voice requests.

AI Agents on Your Finger, Without Lock-In

One of Interface's biggest selling points is that it refuses to lock you into a single AI assistant. At launch, the ring will connect to Meta's Muse, Instinct, Grokbot, Claude, ChatGPT, and more, with over 140 agents available through the NatureOS store. You choose which agent handles each task — for example, Claude for writing code, Instinct for booking a table, and Grokbot for something else entirely.

It also gives you control over permissions: you decide which apps and files each agent can reach on your Mac and iPhone, and NatureOS asks for approval before any action that needs it. That matters, because an agent with access to your calendar, email, and files is powerful — but only if you trust how it's supervised.

Everyday examples Natura gives include:

  • Start tracking a workout while you're out for a run
  • Ask what's on your schedule when you wake up
  • Reorder shampoo while you're in the shower
  • Turn off the TV and set a morning alarm as you fall asleep
  • Record a meeting, then have notes sent to a co-worker

Health Tracking Built Into the Interface Smart Ring

The ring doubles as a health tracker, competing directly with the Oura Ring and Samsung Galaxy Ring. It monitors heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep stages, daily movement, step count, and skin temperature over time.

Ferraris says the combination is the differentiator: "highest quality health tracking" plus agent communication, meeting recordings, and external memory — in a very small package with long battery life. Price, Battery Life, and the $9 Subscription Catch

Natura says the ring lasts 6 to 12 days on a full charge depending on usage, and takes about 100 minutes to recharge fully. That's competitive with — and at the top end better than — most smart rings on the market.

Pricing has a catch, though:

  • $99 is the early-adopter price — Natura says it will eventually raise it, since manufacturing costs are comparable to the Oura and Galaxy rings
  • After a 3- to 6-month free period, the NatureOS service costs $9 per month
  • Preorders are expected to open in November 2026, with shipping in December 2026 or January 2027

Natura Interface vs Oura Ring and Galaxy Ring

The smart ring market is crowded: Oura, Ultrahuman, RingConn, Samsung, and AI-focused rings like Pebble and Vocci. Most of them do one thing — health tracking — while a few add AI features. Natura's bet is that combining serious health tracking with a full AI-agent interface makes Interface something different.

The price undercuts Oura and Samsung at launch, but remember the comparison isn't quite apples to apples: those rivals don't charge a subscription for core features the way Natura plans to with its $9/month NatureOS fee. The true first-year cost is $99 plus subscription — still cheaper than a Galaxy Ring, but the gap narrows over time.

Should You Buy the Natura Interface Smart Ring?

If you already use personal AI agents daily — especially multiple ones — Interface is an intriguing idea: a screen-free, button-activated shortcut to Claude, ChatGPT, and friends that also tracks your health. The button-activated mic is a smart privacy design, and the multi-agent approach avoids the single-assistant trap.

But it ships with real caveats: the subscription starts after a few free months, the price will go up, and Natura is a small startup betting on a product category that has already humbled bigger names (remember the AI Pin). Preorders open next month — curious, but worth waiting for real-world reviews before tapping "buy."
